- Education/Experience-
I am currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and am a graduate of Montana State University in Computer Engineering. I
have taken classes ranging from Circuits to Digital Logic to Signal Integrity and
from Java to Assembly to C programming. I have worked with Tektronix Power Supplies, Function Generators, Oscilloscopes,
and Multi-meters. I know how to use Windows, Linux (command line and GUI), and
can figure out new software and operating systems quickly. I also have
experience with MATLAB and LabVIEW.
- Other
Skills and Abilities- I enjoy learning new skills and constantly look for
ways to increase my knowledge base. I enjoy working with others, and I describe
myself as a “people person.” I enjoy meeting and interacting with new people on
a daily basis. I am respectful both in person and over the phone, and I am able
to handle difficult situations in a prudent manner.
- Language
Skills- I am able to effectively read and interpret information from a
variety of sources, and then relay that information to others. I am able to
communicate effectively with both peers and authority figures. I am mostly fluent in Spanish (both conversational and technical), as I studied for 10
months in a Computer Science program in Spain.
- Mathematical
Skills- I am proficient in basic and advanced math functions (Geometry-Algebra-Calculus-Differential
Equations-Statistics).
- Reasoning
Ability- I am able to respond well in varying circumstances, and I am able
to apply previous knowledge to new, somewhat different situations.
- Research- I have worked on and led projects both at MSU and Sandia National Labs. This has taught me research methods and organizational skills. Both projects were presented (on separate occasions) in Germany.
